Naqu, the limiting survival in a deserted region
Naqu is the main body of Qiantang, which is considered by Tibetan as "the North Highland", the ridge of the roof of the world. The plateau in the north of Tibet is different from any other pastures in the world, in that all scientific measures haven: changed it into a farmland or an orchard yet because of frigidity. Thus living a nomadic life is the only resolution for this harvestless region. Life is therefore fixed: with livestock as all their life and the sun, the moon, the wind and the snow as all their companions, people have come to terms with all the natural creatures around and thus become an inseparable part of the nature. The Fairy Land of the Tibetan Antelopes
In the far east of Qiangtang, a debilitating Tibetan antelope was waiting for its final destiny after a snow storm. It was a beautiful place while its inclement weather made the biggest ecosystem in mid-Asia desolated. Human's activities would change this place, while the last virgin soil on earth might exist eternally so long as we treat it properly. By George B. Schaller
